POSITION:
Freedom Classical Academy is a unique and innovative middle school committed to providing a hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experience. Unlike traditional middle schools, our students focus on two main subject areas: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Humanities . We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated STEM teachers to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year.

This position is specifically for STEM teachers who will teach Math and Science to students in grade 6, 7, or 8. You will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in both disciplines, helping them to build a solid foundation in STEM while fostering a love for learning and discovery.

Freedom Classical Academy is a K-8 charter school specializing in a unique blend of STEM and classical education. We are seeking a limited number of great elementary teachers to join us for the 2025-26 school year.

FOUR DAY SCHOOL WEEK . Our school has a four-day school week. Our teachers will work Monday through Thursday with one Friday a month dedicated to professional development and PLC teams. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Manage student behavior, ensuring respect, cooperation, and adherence to school rules.
• Plan, prepare, and execute daily lessons, assignments, and educational activities.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and critical thinking.
• Track and analyze student progress, providing timely feedback on academic and behavioral issues.
• Identify students’ individual learning needs and provide extra support or accommodations where necessary.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress, school activities, and concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other documentation.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, both in and out of the classroom.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to create a cohesive and effective learning environment.
• Participate in student pick-up or drop-off, as assigned.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by school administration, such as supervising extracurricular activities or assisting with school-wide initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 
Qualified applicants must:

• Have a NV teacher's certificate for 
  • Elementary Education (K-8) or
  • Secondary Education in Math (7-9 or 7-12) or
  • Secondary Education in Science (7-9 or 7-12)
• Strong background in Math , with proficiency in teaching concepts through Algebra 1.
• Passion for Science , with the ability to engage students and spark curiosity in the subject.
• Experience with middle school students and a deep understanding of developmental needs.
• Ability to create a student-centered, hands-on learning environment.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Reveal Math program .
• Collaborative, open to feedback, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
