We are partnering with a premier international law firm to find an experienced Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney with at least seven years of experience to work on high-profile legal matters for leading clients in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
About the Role
As an Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel, you will advise and support clients in navigating complex regulatory environments, crafting compliant advertising campaigns, and defending against disputes and regulatory challenges. This role will involve a mix of contract negotiation, compliance counseling, and strategic advice across a variety of industries including retail, entertainment, gaming, software, internet, food and beverage, and advertising.
Responsibilities Include:
Drafting and negotiating advertising-related agreements such as influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, ad agency, and media buying contracts.
Reviewing advertising content to ensure compliance with laws related to false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and publicity rights.
Counseling clients on compliance for contests, sweepstakes, subscription programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
Advising on consumer protection and marketing issues across various industries.
Defending clients against allegations of false advertising, unfair competition, and other regulatory challenges.
Monitoring emerging trends and legal developments in advertising and consumer protection law.

Who We're Looking For
Experience & Expertise:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in advertising law, consumer protection, and marketing transactions.
Strong expertise in drafting agreements, compliance counseling, and dispute resolution.
Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division disputes is a plus.
Educational Background:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Active California bar license or eligibility for a California bar waiver.
Core Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities for complex legal challenges.
