Job Description

PrimeCare Network assist all parties involved in any personal injury case that occurs in the United States to ensure only the best, most seamless care and care coordination.

The Billing Manager will oversee the end-to-end billing process for personal injury cases, ensuring that medical billing is accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. This role will require close collaboration with healthcare providers, attorneys, patients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in medical billing, revenue cycle management, and experience working within personal injury or similar healthcare financing cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the billing department, ensuring timely and accurate submission of medical claims related to personal injury cases.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state and federal billing regulations, and personal injury case requirements.
• Coordinate with hospitals, healthcare providers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to manage medical financing and payment processes for personal injury cases.
• Implement efficient billing strategies for cases involving medical liens, letters of protection (LOPs), and other personal injury financing instruments.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on unpaid claims, and ensure that billing timelines are met.
• Lead, mentor, and train billing department staff, ensuring they stay up-to-date with best practices in medical billing and personal injury case management.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to management, outlining billing performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies in billing practices and ensure corrective action is taken where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal teams to manage cases where medical liens or legal protections are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field (required).
• Certification in Medical Billing or Coding (preferred, e.g., CPC, CPB, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare finance, or revenue cycle management.
• Proven experience in managing billing operations for personal injury cases or similar healthcare settings.
• In-depth knowledge of medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar systems).
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
