Building Automation Project Manager

Our client has over 50 years of experience as the leading commercial and industrial HVAC project and service provider in the New Jersey and New York markets. We provide our clients with the heating, air conditioning and ventilation solutions to meet the needs of their facility and people. We are seeking an ethical, detail-oriented and organized Building Automation Project Manager responsible for determining project needs and constraints in order to meet customer HVAC controls system design and installation requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Follows project schedule closely and maintain project requirements as per agreed contracts with customers and general contractors.
• Order and manage materials and equipment.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change order and job schedules.
• Oversee and supervise controls project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments via the WIP process.
• Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
• Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Compile and plan budgets, cost estimates, and other financial estimates.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience with DDC Building Automation Controls
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Able to manage a team of employees and multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
• In-depth understanding of the Controls construction industry.
• Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
• Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Certifications with Distech/Tridium is a plus.
