Job Description

The Controller position is a critical role responsible for the management of the accounting department, ensuring effective and efficient financial management and compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations. The Controller will also be responsible for developing and maintaining financial systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain effective financial systems and controls.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for management.
• Manage and oversee month-end and year-end close process.
• Develop, analyze, and interpret short and long-term financial forecasts.
• Manage budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual state sales tax returns.
• Oversee the accounting processes for private equity transactions.
• Implement and maintain ERP and NetSuite systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 5+ years experience in an accounting management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Experience with ERP and NetSuite systems.
• Experience with FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
