As a key member of the Simco Ion Leadership Team, The Controller will serve as a key business partner to the business unit managers at both the PA and CA locations. They will manage the finance, accounting, and IT functions of this $80M business. This role is the financial leader for Simco-Ion and a key member of the management team. The successful candidate is an excellent business and financial leader, while also being a strong manager and developer of talent.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MBA and/or CMA/CPA preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance. CPA is preferred.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances, and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the manufacturing areas. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms and is regularly required to walk. Employee must be able to endure frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and walking on hard surfaces such as concrete. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to lift/move product materials up to 30 pounds.
The position requires approximately 10% travel.
