Job Description

Sozo Children has an immediate opening for a Creative Design Coordinator. Creativity is the heart of any successful ministry. As the Creative Design Coordinator for Sozo Children, you will engage with donors, sponsors and the general public through the use of effective design and compelling messaging. As a key member of the Engagement Team, you will create a ripple effect touching the lives of countless others. The Creative Design Coordinator will collaboratively create and maintain the look and feel of the ministry, equipping supporters, staff and the children we serve to be better servants in Christ’s name.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Propose and design high quality graphics and video to enhance the message of the organization with a consistent look across all media forms including website.
• Collaborate with the Engagement team to ensure all written and recorded media reflect the message and values of the organization.
• Ensure all design and photography needed for the website and each campaign is scheduled in a timely manner and produced with the proper formatting for each platform.
• Coordinate photo and video needs locally and internationally to meet deadlines and produce high quality messaging.
• Work with the Engagement Team to support all Sozo events with effective audio and visual content.

SKILLS:

• You understand what appeals to the eye and you can bring that to life in your design. You are not afraid of negative space, you understand bleeds and you know how to make a page flow and lead your reader to a message. Your work has a look that fits the brand.
• You’re a designer first but you know, you just know, what people really want in your designs. You understand them and you enjoy working with a team to deliver high quality graphics that fit the ministry’s image and values.
• You enjoy the experience of your work but, like every great designer, you love a finished project even more. You are comfortable working in a variety of media platforms and you take joy in seeing others enjoy your work. 

MUST HAVES

• Degree in Graphic Design
• Three years experience in corporate or nonprofit creative environment
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite in Mac environment
• Christ-like approach to life in actions, words and attitudes.

  BONUS HAVES

• Working knowledge of Wordpress CMS
• A good eye for photography
• Video editing skills
