Description : Delivery Driver/Lumberyard Assistant
Western Building Center in Polson, MT is seeking an outgoing person who takes pride in accuracy and excellent customer service. This full-time lumberyard assistant/delivery driver position will give you the opportunity to hone your knowledge of the lumber business while providing our customers with the best customer service in the state! A clean driving record is a must. Applicants should be able to lift 80 pounds.
PURPOSE
Perform duties pertaining to lumberyard maintenance and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain and organize inventory in lumberyard and associated warehouse
2. Assist customers with loading building materials in all weather conditions
3. Unload freight from vendors and distributors
4. Plan and pace own work efficiency in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related productivity goals.
5. Maintain logs of equipment repair status
6. Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
7. Other duties may be assigned

· Knowledge of company products

· Math skills required
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to read customer orders and follow safety regulations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Clean driving record.
A drug test will be administered prior to employment.
