Job Description – Marketing Specialist

Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for a Marketing Specialist where you will be responsible to oversee a variety of tasks, including designing and editing digital marketing campaigns and maintaining our current website and all social media accounts. If you’re a creative, goal-oriented professional, we would like you to be part of our team and share innovative ideas to achieve our targets. Ultimately, you should be able to increase our market share and ensure brand consistency.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
• Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos releases on social media outlets
• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
• Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
• Help create and edit short films
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Assist with editing photo/video/presentation and podcast content
• Ensure brand message is consistent
• Update website content
• Collaborates with internal team to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
• Use customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications

• Excellent communication & organizational, writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Bachelor’s degree in digital communications or related field such as advertising or Journalism
• 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing/social media marketing
• Impeccable oral and written communication skills
• Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube
• Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software 2-4 years marketing experience
