The Position: We are currently recruiting for a
Marketing Director, Digital Pathology within our Precision Medicine, Global Oncology Marketing organization. The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and leading the digital pathology strategy, market development, and global commercialization of digital pathology algorithm tools to help identify patients for pipeline and inline assets. The Marketing Director will work in close collaboration with the Global Asset Leaders and Global Business Leaders in Human Health (HH), Diagnostic Digital Experts and Diagnostic Development Teams (DxDTs) in our Company's Research Laboratories.

As Marketing Director, you will be responsible for creating go-to-market strategies & product roadmaps as well as providing guidance & commercial leadership to enable better and faster patient identification. You will have the opportunity to work with AI/ML projects across multiple tumor-types and molecular targets. Close collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders across HH, our Research & Development Division, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal etc. as well as external partners (diagnostic & device technology companies, reference laboratories, etc.) and is fundamental to the success of the role.
The role as Director is within the Precision Medicine organization and will report into Executive Director, Precision Medicine and be a key member of our Global Oncology Marketing Team. The ideal candidate is proactive, structured and is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt. Responsibilities: - Identify digital pathology based opportunities , develop and execute product strategy and build roadmap for our digital pathology and AI-based diagnostics portfolio
- Build market development strategy, drive digital pathology based solutions through their end-to-end lifecycle by closely partnering with external digital pathology collaborators
- Gathering unmet clinical needs, market requirements, scoping and planning product concepts, execution, delivery, continuous improvement, and ensuring commercial adoption
- Short & long-term Business Strategy & Planning; development of digital diagnostic strategies & tactics, hereunder positioning, messaging etc.
- Providing commercial leadership, support and expertise to Diagnostic Development Teams, Global Brand Teams, Regional & Local Marketing Organizations
- Global engagement of key scientific leaders relevant for guiding strategy development and enablement of the use of the digital pathology tools in collaboration with Medical Affairs and our Research & Development Division
Education: - Bachelor's degree required
- MBA or PhD preferred
Required Experience & Skills :
- 7+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 4+ years of product management and strategic marketing experience in oncology within pharma and/or in vitro diagnostics
- Oncology diagnostic / Precision Medicine product launch experience, globally and/or in major markets
- Entrepreneurial mindset and agility with proven ability to thrive in ambiguity and work collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience: - Product management experience with regulated Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), and/or Digital Pathology
- Experience commercializing and launching oncology diagnostic products with digital pathology enabled decision support tools
- New product concepts and building business cases for commercialization
- Demonstrated track record of working and/or launching digital pathology clinical decision support products/tools
- Experience in managing partnerships in the pharmaceutical, life sciences and/or healthcare space
- Understanding and experience with global regulatory requirements for Medical Device and/or AI algorithms
- Budget management and approval processes within pharma/ life sciences industry

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$181,600.00 - $285,800.00
