Our client is a privately held energy service company that specializes in non-mechanical intervention techniques to diagnose and repair subsurface, surface, and pipeline pressure leaks. The company operates in both domestic and international markets, and seeks to add an experienced Field Service Engineer/Technician to their team.
Essential Functions:
Meet with client on-site to troubleshoot and diagnose problems and agree on work procedure to be performed. Perform hydraulic leak repairs typically on customer's equipment following an approved step-by-step procedure. Discuss results with client representatives and document work performed including operating conditions. Professionally perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
Experience / Qualifications:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and/or minimum 2-4 years hands-on oilfield operations experience. Dependable, trustworthy with ability to organize and complete work procedures within given deadlines. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to manage a client's needs while following established company procedures. Must have basic math skills required to perform fluid conversions and hydrostatic pressure calculations. Basic computer skills and ability to execute on-site technical applications. Potential candidates will have worked in well testing, coiled tubing, snubbing, wireline, subsea or dry wellhead repairs.
Skills & Abilities:
Service Technicians are required to lift and carry toolboxes and containers with liquids as well as pouring the contents into blending tanks. Technicians are required to carry equipment and materials up/ down several flights of stairs on offshore platforms. Technician must be able to travel by boat or helicopter occasionally in excess of 3 hours to worksite. Work assignment may involve international travel and extended periods on-site. Technician must have strength and stamina sufficient to maintain a rigorous work schedule, requiring continuous physical exertion and frequent heavy lifting for up to 16 hours. Weather conditions may at times be harsh and may involve continuous work offshore for extended periods of time. Technician must be able to pass designated offshore medical physical exam. Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card to allow un-escorted access to facilities and vessels regulated by Maritime Transportation Security Act. Candidate must be eligible to obtain visa for entry and work assignments in foreign countries.
