Job Summary  

The Hair Stylist is responsible for providing guests with comprehensive and professional hair treatments. Must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills and maintain a high level of customer service standards. Must have the ability to perform services using proper techniques while maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times. Scheduling, dependability, and flexibility are a must.

Responsibilities

• Understand and abide by the TRILOGY and The Spa at Hyatt Regency Maui policies and procedures.
• Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable spa service.
• Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests’ needs and concerns with a professional and pleasant manner.
• Setup and break down of designated treatment area with the highest respect of fellow co-workers by maintaining neat and well-stocked work areas.
• Provide spa guests with a tour of facilities, when needed.
• Interact cooperatively and with consideration towards guest and co-workers.
• Anticipate guest’s needs and adhere to The Spa at Hyatt Regency Maui and TRILOGY’s standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star Standards.
• Communicates guest problems or complaints to the Spa Manager on Duty.
• Maintain safety and sanitation and disinfection standards.
• Properly clean and sanitize products, rooms, tools and equipment, following TRILOGY and State Governing Boards requirements and guidelines.
• Follow service rules and regulations under their license in the State.
• Use all PPE and sanitation standards by TRILOGY and the State Governing Body.
• Adhere to all State Board Standards and remain compliant with license requirements.
• Ability to complete all hair services offered.
• Decisions of a broad nature are made in accordance with general policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have current HI Cosmetology License.
• Must have at least 1-3 years experience technical hair experience, preferably in a hotel/resort.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, and must be available on an “On Call” basis, if needed.
• Knowledge of hair-care products sold and the ability to promote and sell them.
• Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English. 
• Must be organized, timely and detailed-oriented.
• Basic Computer software skills.

Compensation: 45% Service Commission vs Hourly + Service Charge + Retail Commission
