Join a leading healthcare organization as an Associate Informaticist within our dynamic Tools and Solutions team, part of our Analytics Organization Hub. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing automated and actionable insights that drive operational efficiencies and innovation. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in SAS, SQL, and Tableau, and a passion for working with healthcare data. Required Qualifications:
Experience in SAS: At least 2 years of experience in Base & Advanced SAS, preferably with SAS certifications and extensive macro utilization.
Data Expertise: Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data extraction/transformation jobs, analytical reporting, and automated programming with reusable and SAS macro-driven components.
SQL Skills: 2+ years of experience in SQL, preferably with multiple Database Management Systems and an understanding of indexed and efficient table joins.
Tableau Proficiency: 1+ years of experience in developing Tableau dashboards.
Adaptability: Flexibility to switch between problem research/resolution and building sustainable processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Healthcare Data Experience: Familiarity with healthcare data is a plus.
Independent Problem-Solving: Ability to work directly with business users to understand their requirements, plan, and design solutions independently.
Project Engagement: Experience in engaging and supporting projects within both payor and provider verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Preparation: Extract and calculate metrics from multiple data sources using SAS to prepare data for Tableau dashboards focused on harm events, patient safety, adverse events, and more.
Comprehensive Data Views: Develop and maintain a 360-view of data to support various projects.
Collaboration with Business Users: Engage directly with business users to gather requirements, plan, design, and build solutions.
Project Ownership: Take ownership of projects from start to finish, including requirements gathering, documentation, building, deployment, and training analysts on new tools.
Innovation and Improvement: Contribute to the innovation and enhancement of data delivery and presentation to improve operational efficiencies.
