Position: HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator

Must possess strong knowledge in sheet metal installation and fabrication. Ideal candidates will also possess a background in welding.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• 70% fabrication in the shop.
• 30% time in the field.
• Local travel almost exclusively within Sarasota and Manatee counties.
• Interpret blueprints and job orders.
• Order materials to maintain efficient workflow.
• Sort, lay out and assemble/seal materials.
• Establish work sequences to meet construction schedule, adjusting as needed.
• Estimate man-hour requirements for completion of job.
• Measure and skillfully work to fabricate ductwork using tools, metals and machinery.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of three to five years in a related field
• Experience in sheet metal installation and fabrication
• Good coordination, physical fitness and dexterity
• Experience in welding
• Must be able to regularly life and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one-hundred (100) pounds
• Ability to successfully pass shop-based skills test
