New counselors receive training on all evidence-based practices and cutting-edge competencies in culturally-responsive, integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment. As part of the clinical treatment team, the counselor will receive ongoing supervision, training and consultation in the delivery of services within a strength-based supportive environment. If LPC-A, SCAN provides free supervision and offers all program counselors opportunity to expand and grow within the agency's multiple comprehensive programs.

Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences.
Have an LCDC License, LCDC-I, LPC or LPC-A.
Be bilingual.
Good computer skills.
Valid TX driver's license, good driving record and reliable transportation.
