Description As an Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support the Payload Integration Team and gain hands-on experience contributing to real-world projects.

Essential Functions - Learn the product development process and apply design efforts on your own project.
- Document design and testing as appropriate on each phase of the project.
- Provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers on existing projects.
- Use knowledge and skills in the engineering discipline.
- Performs technical work that does not require previous experience.
- Works independently, as well as with a team.
- Complete summer end internship presentation.
- Demonstrated the guiding principles of Aerostar.
- Ability to occasionally travel to support needs of Aerostar.
- May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
Education & Experience - Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel is required.
- Hands on experience in manufacturing, testing, and/or lab settings are highly desired.
- Familiarity with one or more of SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python desired.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, without close supervision.
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
- Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Physical Requirements : Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
