Job Title : Senior Internal Auditor

Job Summary :

We are seeking a motivated Senior Internal Auditor to join our team in support of a large financial institution, focusing on Operational Risk within Mortgage and Consumer Lending operations . The role involves executing audits, assessing compliance with lending regulations, and performing validation work related to process enhancements.

Responsibilities :

• Execute internal audits with a focus on operational risk in mortgage lending and consumer lending .
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes for loan origination, servicing, and compliance .
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations, including UDAAP, TILA, RESPA, and fair lending laws .
• Validate enhancements in key processes such as complaint handling, reporting, and escalation .
• Prepare audit reports that highlight risks and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audit findings and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal audit, operational risk, or compliance in mortgage and consumer lending .
• Strong knowledge of lending regulations such as UDAAP, TILA, RESPA, and fair lending laws.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CRCM, or CPA preferred.
• Experience with compliance management systems, risk assessments , and issues management .
• Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
