Role: IOS Developer

Location: Portland, San Jose, Chicago or Cincinnati (Initially Remote)

Duration: 12 Months++

Job Description:

• 3+ years of experience working on large scale iOS applications
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Experience with modern iOS libraries and tooling
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience mentoring junior developers
• Detail oriented and work well in a team and individually
• Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work under pressure
• Understanding of the entire mobile development process (design, development and deployment)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times
• Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills
• Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and code new features for the native iOS app
• Fix defects and address tech debt
• Identify and uphold iOS engineering best practices
• Collaborate with designers & product managers to iterate on the design & implementation of our product
• Work with Backend Engineers to integrate services
• Work with platform engineers to build and incorporate frameworks, shared libraries and common components that grow with the needs of the company
• Monitor app performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems & rectify the issues
• Review app and feature code and plan future app upgrades with the development team
• Implement responsible design principles to ensure that our app renders well on most devices and is accessible
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
