The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts DistributionofCat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurementand thedesign andmanufactureof Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).
Job Summary
The Material Availability Analyst ensures availability of inventory for assigned products are satisfied within the allocated time frame
Additional Info - This position can be located in either Morton, IL or Champaign, IL and does not provide relocation
- There is 10% or less travel expected for this role
What You Will Do - Serving as focal point for suppliers.
- Coordinating with suppliers to resolve issues and ensuring performance.
- Acting on schedule releases and follow up for on-time shipments.
- Ensuring timely delivery and availability of parts to support customer requirements.
What You Have - Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Materials Handling and Management : Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
What Will Set You Apart - Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Warehousing Experience
- Supplier Management - MFG : Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
