We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Woodbridge, CT. The Front Desk Receptionist plays a critical role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring efficient front desk operations.
Compensation:Full-time; $21.00 - $23.00 per hour plus benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
Assist in scheduling patient appointments, making reminder calls, and rescheduling as necessary.
Accurately collect and input patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Verify patient insurance information, collect co-payments, and address billing inquiries.
Manage incoming phone calls professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage the patient flow in the waiting area to minimize wait times and maintain an organized front desk area.
Assist healthcare providers and medical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Perform medical assistant duties such as taking patient vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with minor procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a Front Desk Receptionist in a medical setting is preferred.
Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
