On Staff Arborist

Well, Timber Warriors has an opening for an On Staff Arborist!

Timber Warriors provides insurance companies, municipalities, and government agencies with thousands of safe and knowledgeable first responders to all tree-related emergencies across the United States.

We specialize in delivering comprehensive emergency tree services, including tree removal, temporary roof tarp, and board up, in the wake of severe weather events or daily occurrences where an insurance claim is involved or is otherwise deemed an emergency.

We are looking for an individual who possesses education or experience to lead the effort to increase the network membership of outside crews.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all crews and verify that the Estimated Time of Completion (ETC) matches the Scope of Work (SOW)
• Review all job bids for accuracy and reasonableness
• Draft correspondence with crews during storm modes
• Assist in growing the network membership throughout the year to ensure an adequate number of crews when needed
• Follow up and support membership crews
• Ensures the work of all members meets standards and that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills, Education, and Experience

• ISA-Certified Arborist with experience working in a full-service tree care company with cost estimation; required
• TRAQ-Certified Arborist; preferred
• Knowledgeable of OSHA or ANSI Standards
• Strong crew management and scheduling estimation and management; preferred
• Experience quoting residential and commercial tree removal services
• Experience providing arboricultural, consultative services
• Experience deploying crews during major storm events
• Academic degree in forestry, horticulture, or another related field
• Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
• Cost estimation experience
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements

• Some weekends required
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer
• The ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
