Adelphi is seeking Orientation & Mobility Specialists to provide services at school facilities within Monmouth County, New Jersey. These professionals teach visually impaired students how to safely and independently navigate their environment using sensory cues and mobility aids.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or related field.
• Certification from ACVREP (Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations of students' orientation and mobility needs.
• Provide instruction in safe, independent travel techniques.
• Develop individualized mobility goals.
• Collaborate with educators and families to promote independence.
• Ensure all records and documentation are readily available upon request.
• Any other duties as assigned.
