Job Description

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Part-time Live Online Chemistry Teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This fully remote, part-time role allows you to teach from the comfort of your home, with classes scheduled between 10:00 am and 6:30 pm EST, Monday through Thursday.

As a Live Online Chemistry Teacher, you will deliver engaging instruction, foster student growth, and collaborate with our dedicated team to enhance the quality of our program. Your role is essential in creating an enriching learning experience that aligns with our educational philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Live Instruction: Prepare and teach live online chemistry classes.
Plan and Grade: Develop lesson plans, grade assignments, and provide feedback.
Manage Grades and Attendance: Submit weekly grades and attendance in our learning management system (Moodle) and report final grades within one week of receiving student submissions.
Support Students: Provide assistance to students during live sessions and respond to emails and calls promptly (ideally within 24 hours).
Participate in Events: Attend local graduation ceremonies, annual summits, and training events as needed.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing personal and professional growth.
Uphold Standards: Adhere to our educational criteria and handbook guidelines.
Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a teaching certificate required; California teaching license preferred.
Experience: Previous teaching experience with a strong understanding of best practices in content delivery.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Moodle or similar learning management systems is a plus.
Location: Must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia.
