PLC Engineer – Charlotte, NC

We are expanding our team in Charlotte, NC , and are looking for a skilled PLC Engineer to support our growing U.S. operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC-based control systems for industrial automation
• Design and implement automation concepts, functional specifications, and function diagrams
• Support the integration of sensors, actuators, and industrial networks
• Perform virtual commissioning and testing of automation systems
• Troubleshoot and optimize machine processes through PLC programming
• Provide remote and on-site support for system commissioning and service
• Collaborate with IT and OT teams for seamless interface development (including OPC UA)
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to improve automation efficiency

Your Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
• Experience with Siemens PLC programming (S7-300, S7-1500)
• Knowledge of Codesys and high-level programming languages is a plus
• Experience with Git version control and software testing is preferred
• Strong understanding of industrial network technology (Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
