Jerome Plumbing in Cleveland/Mayfield, Ohio area is looking for a full-time  Plumbing Apprentice to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Receives training/coaching from regular and lead plumbers (residential and construction).
• Assists on site plumbers with additional duties assigned.
• Installs and assembles pipe sections, tubing, fittings, couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
• Installs pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, fixtures, using hand or power tools.
• Maintains or repairs plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
• Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines.
• Reviews blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.
• Cuts or drills holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes.
• Complete service, repair, and remodel jobs.
• Completes and submits work orders daily.
• Retrieves material orders from worksite or warehouse and turn into the office by the end of the next working day.
• Keeps records of work assignments.

Requirements:

• No experience – we are willing to train but experience is a plus!
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to operate a cell phone.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
