Program Overview

About The Role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support a large Department of Defense (DoD) contract with a multi-million dollar yearly procurement budget. The procurement specialist will be part of a team, with the following responsibilities:

• Generate Request to Initiate Purchases (RIPs) and Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), track through the approval process, and ensure timely purchase and delivery of goods and services.
• Responsible to ensure procurements are accurate and processed within the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) measurements.
• Record accurate cost and funding data for RIPs and TARs.
• Maintain logs and generate regular reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings for senior management.
• Ensure that procurement activities adhere to customer and company standards and policies. 
• Maintain relationships with vendors.  Work with vendors to obtain quotes and resolve issues.   
• Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support program planning and operations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 7+ years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree and 3+ years of experience. Or 0 years with PhD. However, four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active SECRET security clearance.
• Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Self-starter with the ability to perform in fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities at one time. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, internal teams and the customer. 
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify issues, and propose solutions to resolve discrepancies.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with GSA/AAS for Request to Initiate Purchases (RIPs) and Travel Authorization Requests (TARs).
• Knowledge of federal procurement regulations including FAR guidelines. 
• Experience using Jira software.
• Experience with Excel Pivot Tables.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
