Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives. Each day, you will implement marketing activities and support Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by driving sales efficiency by providing appropriate product knowledge information and training. The work model for the role is: Hybrid, LI-#hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division supporting all of the US. Main stakeholders are power utilities & OEM. You will be mainly accountable for: • Review and evaluate project specifications and end-user customer requirements to provide electrical solutions including one-line electrical diagrams, schematic diagrams, lay-out & equipment drawings, equipment specifications and project budget pricing for medium voltage Grid applications. • Accountable for supporting the customer during the homologation process and pilot projects. • Be the local product expert in the following products and applications: Intelligent Electronic Device (EID), Protection Relays, Centralized Protection & Software and other Digital Substation Products. • Thought leadership - Participate in and develop papers for IEEE and other industry events/ conferences to raise awareness of ABB solutions.
Qualifications for the role - Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering or relevant work experience from the field of Digital Substation Products with minimum of 5 years of technical, application and marketing experience
- Should have medium voltage equipment or applications experience and experience with medium voltage power distribution systems operation and equipment
- A background in protection relays and digital applications and technologies
- Must exercise considerable creativity in developing and implementing approaches tailored to individual customers, based on knowledge of customer requirements. Must be able to analyze market and competitive trends and products and recommend action plans leading to new ABB sales
- The ideal candidate will be able to explain in a clear and persuasive manner the technical merits of the assigned products in direct contact with customers, consultants and channel members and be able to create customer confidence in ABB products and solutions
- Follow and perform duties in accordance with the ABB safety and business ethics policies
- Candidate must be willing to travel as necessary for account support, estimate 25 percent of the time
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
