About this opportunity
This position delivers program value by being the main content authority for the team. They create the vision and work with subject matter experts (SME’s) to understand their needs, define requirements, and guide work through the software development lifecycle. They work to prioritize the program backlog in sequential order (from 1 to n), work with stakeholders and program team to schedule work for releases using the roadmap, validate customer responses, and provide fast feedback.


What you will do

  • Responsible for defining desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable solutions that meet customer needs and for supporting development across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Responsible for making prioritization decisions & tradeoffs between units of work in the backlog.
  • Effective communicator balancing the business justification, right features at the right time.
  • Continuously develops and communicates the vision to program leadership, cross functional groups, subject matter experts & development teams.
  • Responsible for ongoing justification of budget through constant evaluation and communication of the value attained to effort required.
  • Work to constantly understand and communicate as the internal voice of the customer.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop cases / justification for the team’s work.
  • Run POC's and pilot programs to refine rules, logic, algorithms & business processes.
  • They are responsible for the program roadmap, which illustrates, what problems are solved over time.
  • Manages workflow through the program and into the program backlog by prioritizing the backlog in a sequential order (from 1 to n).
  • Ensure that there is always enough ready work in the backlog.
  • Responsible for validation of the proposed solutions.
  • Conducts market research and competitive product analysis.
  • Responsible for use case / product user stories / features definitions and final acceptance.
  • Responsible for product promotion and deployment scaling strategy across sites.
  • Develops long term strategy including long term support of the product.
  • Responsible for UC or product phase out strategy.


Attend and / or lead the following:

  • Participate in Program Increment Planning (PIP) events to present the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution, along with any relevant upcoming milestones.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings
  • Attend program retrospectives to proactively work towards continuous improvement the program.
  • Attend Scrum of Scrum meetings

Assist the Product owner / business analysts in:

  • Maintaining and prioritizing the sprint backlogs
  • Writing and breaking down User Stories
  • Refine the team’s work capacity
  • Provide transparency to the work and project status


Work with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to facilitate:

  • Release Planning Events
  • Scrum of Scrums
  • Program governance
  • System Demos
  • Team status reports
  • Stakeholder management and organizational change management
  • Collaborate with and raise as required to the business and technology senior managers.
  • Remove any impediments to the team’s progress
  • Create and maintain work visibility (Kanban boards, Agile tools, charts, etc.)
  • Gather and maintain team metrics


You will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college / university or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in coordinating or serving on multi-team projects, and working in cross-functional teams or environments
  • Experience in business and solution development, project / program management, and project delivery
  • Ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation abilities
