SUMMARY:

 This cross-functional role will have responsibilities spread across multiple fronts. The role will consist of a combination of tactical production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory control responsibilities, as well as more strategic business process and ERP system improvements. The role will also participate in project management of mid-size projects affecting inventory, scheduling, and warehouse management systems and functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Production to execute day-to-day activities in scheduling one or more production departments.

· Responsible for maintaining valid and balanced plans to ensure the efficiency of operations and meeting customer requirements.

· Responsible for facilitation and execution of inventory management processes, to include posting transactions from cycle counts, performing root cause analysis of issue, and recommending institutional corrective actions.

· Assessment of business processes and systems for opportunities for improvement.

· Lead small to mid-size projects affecting IT systems and business processes relating to inventory control, scheduling, & planning.

· Aid in the development and implementation of robust master data processes and controls.

· Perform capacity and delivery performance reporting and analysis to identify opportunities and propose solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

 

COMPETENCIES:

· Problem Solving Skill

· Strong knowledge of ERP systems and master data (deep understanding of how planning engines function, knowledge of BOM structures, master data elements and controls, inventory control processes, scheduling and planning theory and logic, etc.).

· Advanced proficiency with Excel.

· Ability to influence at all levels of the organization in the absence of direct authority.

· Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.

· 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

· ERP system operations (SyteLine or Enfor systems a plus)

· MS Office with advanced Excel skills

· Advanced computer skills
