Job Description

AECOM  is seeking a  Project Manager  to provide onsite project management services for various client programs and projects for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area. The role involves performing fulltime onsite Project Management Services which includes managing coordinating and administering a group of projects or one major project from conceptual stages through all phases of the projects with the assistance of the project team. The role will work onsite closely with the project team on a daytoday basis to proactively meet the clients needs. This position is contingent on a future client win and client approval.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leading a construction management team to deliver capital construction projects for US Federal Government clients.
  • Managing coordinating and administering a group of projects or one major project from conceptual stages through all phases of the projects with the assistance of the project team.
  • Being responsible for overall performance of the project team and taking the lead in reporting and ensuring project completion within budget schedule and in conformance with specifications.
  • Reviewing contracts scope documents and available data for the project and establishing schedules and budgets for compliance with project scope requirements and contract obligations.
  • Taking leadership initiative in working with internal team members and client departments including cost/scheduling procurement quality assurance construction contracts legal labor relations finance accounting and other services and departments as required to successfully manage projects.
  • Providing an integrated project team approach in working with designers contractors and governing agencies.
  • Reviewing and commenting on design submissions change orders and contracts/subcontracts and representing the clients interests to ensure control of and validating that change orders are current fair and efficiently processed.
  • Reviewing comments received from governing agencies on behalf of the client and coordinating timely resolutions.
  • Proactively monitoring critical project milestone dependencies and tracking actions which may result in risks to critical project milestones.
  • Reviewing project key performance indicators and forecasting any modifications to schedules cost estimates and financial reportsand effectively reconciling risks to commitments that may exceed assigned schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinating communications stakeholder contacts and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Monitoring and controlling contractual commitments to assure work being performed is in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contracts.
  • Reviewing builder submittals and RFI documents and providing field surveillance to ensure the specified quality of design.
  • Conducting project coordination and client meetings as necessary to review progress and discuss upcoming work.
  • Working with stakeholders to negotiate and resolve conflicts disputes and potential claims on behalf of the client.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements

  • CCM PMP PE RA
  • 10 Years of Experience Federal experience
