Job Summary:

Registered Nurses in Procedural Services provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes. They interact effectively with patients and their significant others, maintaining professional nursing standards. These nurses deliver direct, individualized care based on scientific nursing principles and must be well-versed in a variety of health conditions due to the broad range of medical issues they encounter.

Registered Nurses are also expected to participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives, upholding the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

Procedural Services Registered Nurses care for patients undergoing various procedures across multiple specialties. They manage a range of procedural conditions and adapt to the fast-paced, dynamic nature of the procedural environment, prioritizing patient care to maintain safety and efficiency.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program

Minimum Work Experience:

• No previous experience required

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Nurse
• ACLS to be completed within 90 days of hire
• PALS or ENPC to be completed within 6 months of hire
• BLS - must be completed before initiating patient contact
• Additional relevant certifications as needed (e.g., CNOR)
