What will your typical day look like?

 

  • Prepare international workpapers for US tax filings. Returns include corporate and partnership filings with coordination of income tax compliance requirements 
  • Participate in tax research and planning while working side by side with Global Finance and various Global Businesses.
  • Support Global Tax’s response to various requests to the Chief Tax Officer’s team from the Deloitte firms
  • Assist Manager or Senior Manager to drive and work on various project initiatives
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project support materials, such as project plans, tracking documents, meeting notes and status reports
  • Ability to drive teaming and successfully work in a team environment
  • Support Global Tax team
  • Willingness to share learnings and best practices across the broader team
  • Able to take a lead role to support and informally counsel junior employees
  • Ability to work and interact with global Finance counterparts at Management levels

Global Finance provides the most cutting-edge and insightful research and analysis of the financial health of the entire Deloitte organization around the world. We advise, guide, and monitor global initiatives in five major areas: tax, member-firm reporting, finance and accounting, strategic projects, and financial analysis.

Required

 

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in international tax gained in an accounting/consulting firm, or in industry (‘in house’).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or other business-related field 
  • Prior experience in handling international tax, US partnership tax, familiarity with book-tax adjustments (US), familiarity with financial statements and tax provision calculations (IFRS), familiarity with withholding tax (US)

 

Preferred

 

  • Exposure to working on SAP/Swift database systems
  • Proficient to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel/Word/Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work with colleagues virtually and at different time zones.
  • Detail oriented but able to look at the big picture, team player and self-motivated
  • Must have the ability to work independently and meet various strict deadlines
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Being a rigorous and accurate person and value flexibility.
  • Willingness to learn and master tax compliance and research matters different foreign jurisdictions where Deloitte Global has reporting obligations

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
