We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regulatory team member to join our Pet Care Team. As the Senior Regulatory Specialist, you will work with cross functional teams, providing guidance and direction to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring all regulatory requirements are met related to the production, distribution, labeling, claims development & substantiation of pet food products. The Senior Regulatory Specialistutilizes people skills, regulatory knowledge and experience gained to support internal cross-functional teams related to new product development initiatives. In addition, this role will help develop innovative solutions and processes to address future compliance challenges
B.S. or B.A. in food science, animal science, biology, biochemistry, or similar science. Exceptions can be made for candidates with a B.A. in a non-science discipline, coupled with an advanced degree or direct relevant and material experience working directly with the required regulatory agency and existing contacts with the individual states
3-7 years of experience in the regulatory field (interpreting and applying AAFCO regulations/guidelines and applicable pet food related U.S. (e.g., FDA, CVM, USDA) and foreign regulations Preferred)
Working conditions are normal for a hybrid office environment.
Hybrid work environment (Monday and Friday are work from home, Tuesday- Thursday are in our Earth City, Mo office.
