Job Description:
Typical Day in the Role
- Purpose of the Team: The Power Electronics & Test Validation team is looking for an Electrical Engineer specifically with Power Electronics for EV and renewable energy expertise.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
- Minimum 3 years experience with Strong hands-on and trouble-shooting skills in testing and verifications of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, scope, etc.).
- Minimum 3 years experience with Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Candidate Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 3 overall years of experience in the field.
- Degrees or certifications required: M. S degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities and qualifications:
- Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and control.
- Review schematic, PCB designs, calculation and simulation of power electronics converters.
- Conduct the verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry and requirements.
- Strong hands-on and trouble-shooting skills in testing and verifications of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, scope, etc.).
- Capability to analysis the root-cause of the power electronics system and drive R&D activities independently.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Preferred qualifications:
- M. S degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in power electronics development and testing.
- Solid understanding power electronics fundamentals.
- Knowledge of automotive requirements.
