The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in various accounting duties, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Ownership and Influence  

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports. 
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting. 
• Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger accounts, ensuring adherence to company policies and GAAP. 
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. 
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor management, and customer billing. 
• Perform detailed account reconciliations, identify and resolve any differences, and maintain supporting documentation. 
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, provide financial analysis, and assist in cost control measures. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes, including providing support during audits. 
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and standards and make recommendations to improve internal controls and processes. 
• Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.

• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. 
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team. 
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
