Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals Fabricating Company in search of a Steel Detailer/Architectural Draftsman to join the team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Metals Architectural Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise and accurate shop drawings for the fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metal components. A strong understanding of construction practices, proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks or other 3D modeling software, and experience in the structural steel industry are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for structural steel and miscellaneous metals using Tekla. Willing to train.
• Interpret architectural and engineering plans and translate them into accurate fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project specifications and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency/training in AutoCAD or Solidworks is required; experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Tekla, Revit) is desired.
• General understanding of standard construction practices and structural steel fabrication processes.
• Previous experience in the structural steel industry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
