Job Description

Store Manager/Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within the food and beverage industry or a similar customer service-oriented field.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of baristas and other staff members, while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure excellent customer experiences and handle any customer complaints or issues that arise.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, staff, and higher-level management.
  • Needs to handle various tasks simultaneously, such as staff scheduling, inventory management, and administrative duties. Good organizational skills are crucial.
  • Understanding of basic financial principles, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • A solid understanding of Ice Cream, coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as familiarity with different brewing methods, is a plus ( but not required).
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • The ability to think on your feet and make decisions quickly, especially during busy periods or when unexpected issues arise.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and developing staff members to provide excellent service and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Some knowledge of sales techniques and marketing strategies can be beneficial for promoting the coffee shop and increasing its customer base.
  • Effective time management skills to balance daily operational tasks, employee management, and long-term planning.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for tasks like employee scheduling, inventory management, and basic administrative work.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with regular customers to enhance loyalty and repeat business.
  • Being adaptable and able to handle changes and challenges is crucial.
