The School of Allied Health is recruiting for a Term Instructor or Assistant Professor of Radiologic Technology. We are seeking an individual who will work in a collaborative/interdisciplinary teaching environment in the delivery of courses within the UAA Radiologic Technology program.
The Radiologic Technology program makes an important contribution to the College of Health’s mission to advance the health and wellbeing of people and communities. The program has strong partnerships with facilities throughout Alaska. Students learn the art and science of the profession through classes in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection and patient care. Graduates are prepared with the technical skills necessary to perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic examinations. The faculty member appointed to this position will provide advising to prospective and current students, didactic and laboratory education to students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program. The program director will be responsible for the structure as well as the daily operation of the program, including organization, administration, periodic review and evaluation, continued development, and general effectiveness of program curricula.

Additional qualities suitable for this role include: One year's experience as a didactic instructor in a Radiologic Technology program. One year's experience as a clinical preceptor or instructor in a Radiologic Technology program. Proficient in curriculum development, student supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising. Familiarity with Institutional and discipline-based accreditation and Radiologic Technology standards (JRCERT). Familiarity with Radiologic Technology training considerations in Alaska. Continuous professional development in Radiologic Technology or related field. Professional society membership, AKSRT or ASRT.Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two years' clinical experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
For Instructor: AAS in Radiologic Technology. Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in Radiologic Technology. For Assistant Professor:Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Goose Lake campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, 9-month, term-funded, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . The expected start date will be in August 2024. Salary will be based upon applicable academic preparation and experience.
