Position Titles: Sonographer – Ultrasound Tech. – Farmington, NM Shift: Full-time • Days
Job Summary: Ultrasound Technologists are entrusted to use their education in the art of Ultrasonic imaging of the human body, with the intent of providing excellent diagnostic images for the treatment of injury and disease.
Job Duties : • Performs general Ultrasound procedures at a professional and technical level not requiring constant supervision utilizing industry standards
• Assures that DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the Ultrasound department
• Provide knowledgeable coverage for the O.R. and E.D. departments as needed
• Understand the transfer and viewing of images through the P.A.C.S. System
• Understand the ordering system through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System)
• Clear understanding of Ultrasound call requirements
• Able to transfer images to vRad as needed
• Coordinate care with radiologist or related physicians as needed
• Maintain, clean, and re-stock each Ultrasound exam room when procedure is completed
• Transportation of patients as needed
• Adheres to radiology dress code
• Maintains confidentiality of all Hospital matters (i.e. HIPAA)
• Practices good communication skills
• Conducts self in a professional manner consistent with the values of the facility.
• Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needs. Attends meetings, workshops and conventions to increase clinical skills.
• Provide professional communication with staff and patients
• Each employee is responsible for implementing the hospital’s Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications : • Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound Technology Program
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Registered or Registry Eligible
• BLS Certification
• Must meet all the physical demands required of position.

- Relocation bonus: Available depending on relocation area. 1 year commitment minimum.
- Sign on bonus: Candidates with less than 2 years’ exp: $10,000. Over 2 years exp: $25,000. 2-year commitment to receive the full bonus.
- Certifications: BLS required upon submission. All other required certifications can be obtained after hire; please refer to Life Support Certification document in attachments.
- Licensure: Open to candidates who do not hold New Mexico or Compact licensure. Candidates must obtain prior to start.
- Salary Range: UP to Max $50.42/hr.
- Shift Diffs: Day Evenings-$3/hr.; Day Nights-$3.50/hr.; Wknd Days-$3.50/hr.; Wknd Nights-$5/hr.
