Warehouse Lead Job Description
This position will be responsible for oversight as well as hands-on performance of all warehouse operations. From monitoring inventory and shipping/receiving to organizing bin locations and driving the forklift, you will handle all operations that support Roco's standby rescue teams, rescue instructors, and equipment purchases.

Responsibilities will include:

• Build and pack rescue kits
• Pick, prepare and ship orders
• Prepare training course materials
• Maintenance and Inventory of Training Kits
• Assign & Update Bin Locations
• Receive Inventory
• Track and monitor backorders
• Perform annual inventory count
• Operate fork truck (forklift)
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Required Training and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree or higher is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse operations role is required. 3+ years is preferred.

• Prior military service is preferred.
• Emergency response experience is preferred (e.g., EMS, fire service, law enforcement).
• Familiarity with rescue or climbing equipment is preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must.
• Proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting.

Other Considerations:

• May be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
• May be required to work weekends.
• Must reside in the Baton Rouge area or be willing to relocate.
• A significant portion of this role requires work in a non-air-conditioned warehouse.
• May require occasional transport of equipment or packages to the Roco Training Center.
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Pay $43,000-$75,000 per year, and/or $20-$36 per hour
